Hmm. Feeling restless, and kind of craving some sort of quick, random project. When I have time to plan, this can result in something big and complex, but more often, it turns into either a) a new script, or b) a new weird little side thingie.
Reactionary Meter itself is an okay example, as is the the apprentice showdown photo shoot. Also, there's the Keith Sketch (an awful comedy bit co-written by myself and Nate Beckman, filmed on a weekend break from IMP, edited in iMovie).
Perhaps it's the weather, or all the weird stuff I've seen recently (including Repo Men and The Runaways), or the fact that I'm not in the honeymoon phase with any of my current projects anymore, but apart from revisions, I've been making time to sit down with a notebook, space out, and get new ideas on paper before the logic thing kicks in to shoot 'em down. I haven't been doing as much team-based new weird stuff recently, but I think that also has to do with being apart from my new-weird-stuff-oriented Hampshire folks.
Anyone else get this kind'a thing? Results?
